Bijan Afar D.D.S., M.S. -Periodontics & Implant Dentistry
Dr. Afar graduated from UCLA with a degree in Microbiology. He continued his education at UCLA School of Dentistry for his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Science in Oral Biology.
He received a California State Fellowship, Hortense Fishbaugh's Scholarship, Oral Biology Graduate Fellowship was a Regent's scholarship nominee throughout his dental education. After finishing dental school, Dr. Afar was among the top 5% of graduating students in the nation to receive the Dentist-Scientist Fellowship from the National Institute of Health to continue his dental education and research in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Dr. Kakoli -Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy)
Dr. Kakoli graduated from University of Maryland with a degree in Biology. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of Maryland, School of Dentistry, and attended hospital general practice residency at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Baltimore.
He continued his advanced postgraduate studies at University of Maryland, where he completed his residency in Endodontics, as well as receiving a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences. During his dental education, Dr. Kakoli has received numerous honors and awards such as the Harry E. Latcham Memorial Medal for excellence in complete oral restoration, and membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honorary Dental Society.
Dr. Kakoli is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), and the American Association of Endodontists (AAE). He has presented several topics in Endodontics at the American Association of Endodontists Annual Session in different states over the past few years, and he has published his recent endodontic research in Journal of Endodontics.
Dr. Allen Yaghoubzadeh -Orthodontics
Dr Allen Yaghoubzadeh is a native of the Los Angeles area. He grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles close to the North Hollywood office. As such, he is proud to be able to work in a community which has recently undergone a rejuvenation. Dr. Yaghoubzadeh is a proud Alumni of the University of Southern California, where he attended both undergrad and dental school. He then spent a few years on the east coast, where he did his residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Connecticut. While in Connecticut, Dr. Yaghoubzadeh also earned a master's degree in cranio-facial biology for his work on esthetics and the display of the dentition during speech.

Dr. Monica Sharma -Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Sharma is a board eligible pediatric dentist who is an advocate of prevention and oral health care for children. She takes the time to treat all children with regard for their particular needs and individuality using age-appropriate techniques. Her goal is to provide a comfortable environment in the dental office for children and adolescents of all ages and their parents. Dr. Sharma has done much volunteer work in the community and in medical offices, which stimulated her interest in dentistry and in working with children. She obtained her dental degree from University of Maryland. She went on to complete a general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, where she further developed her desire to become a pediatric dentist. Dr. Sharma then acquired a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in New York. Dr. Sharma is passionate about helping and children and teenagers maintain healthy and beautiful smiles by delivering gentle dentistry and establishing a positive attitude toward dentistry.
Dr. Poneh Ghasri -General & Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Poneh Ghasri graduated with honors from UCLA with a bachelor degree in Neuroscience. She continued her education at UCLA School of Dentistry for her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She dedicates herself to advanced dentistry and has completed several extensive courses in cosmetic dentistry including Lumineers, implant reconstruction, and Invisalign.
As a premiere cosmetic dentist, she creates smile makeovers everyday. Her advanced training expertise in restorative and implant reconstruction has allowed her to rehabilitate hundreds of cases of partial and/or total absence of teeth alongside a team of expert specialists. As a cosmetic dentist with a growing reputation for excellence and professionalism, her patients include many high-profile celebrities and Hollywood stars.
Dr. Ghasri is passionate about learning on a daily basis. She enjoys taking self-improvement and leadership courses as well as communication, business, marketing, and educational classes. She also loves listening to educational books on CD’s during her commute to work. Her hobbies also include belly dancing, collecting shot glasses and perfumes, and reading. Her weaknesses are chocolate and shoes! She also really enjoys laughing with friends and family at their weekly gatherings.
Having a father who is a retired dentist, Dr. Ghasri became familiar with many dental procedures and interacting with patients at a very young age. She takes pride in her sense of compassion and sympathy with all her patients as well as her gentle touch; for which, she gets praised by her patients on a daily basis.
Dr. Tiraspolskaya -General & Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Tiraspolskaya graduated with honors from UCLA with a degree in Biochemistry. She continued her education at UCLA School of Dentistry for her Doctorate of Dental Surgery and graduated among top 5% of her class, striving for excellence. She continued her training into a residency program at Wilson-Jennings-Bloomfield UCLA Venice Dental Center for Advanced Education in General Dentistry, which allowed her to diagnose and treat numerous complex cases of partial and complete absence of teeth using both implant restorations and prosthetic dentistry. She has completed a number of courses in dental implant reconstruction as well as cosmetic dentistry. She is an active member of several los angeles dental societies and peer review clubs.
